What we Offer

SLICES-RI will provide a fully programmable and virtualized, remotely accessible, European-wide research infrastructure, providing advanced computing, storage and network components, interconnected by dedicated high-speed links. It will be a flexible platform designed to support large-scale, experimental research focused on networking protocols, radio technologies, and services as well as data collection, distributed control and various edge-based computing architectures. SLICES-RI will provide the experimental playground for short- and long-term research in several domains (e.g. information theory, signal theory, networking and distributed systems and algorithms, embedded systems, software engineering, interoperability, security, performance modelling, proof and validation, etc.).

SLICES-RI aims to create a pan-European Research Infrastructure that fosters to support the following actions

Data Catalogues

SLICES-RI will design and deploy secure catalogues for scientific, academic research data and results as well as for experimentation assets/resources (equipment, resources, tools) to handle the entire lifecycle of experimentation, thus enabling assets/resources provision, discovery of information sharing and use of the appropriate resources

Value-added Services

SLICES-RI will design and develop a suite of scalable, secure, and customizable services that will be used on the top of the existing distributed RIs and it will integrate them into the SLICES-RI platform, in order to facilitate their discovery, and to allow for the re-producibility, and validation of scientific results

Resources Provision

SLICES-RI will develop customizable to each researcher needs, flexible, and reconfigurable workflows and methodologies to streamline the secure and trusted provision of resources of the distributed digital infrastructures

Resources Acquisition

SLICES-RI will integrate the distributed experimental facilities under SLICES-RI platform for the discovery, evaluation, reproduction, and use of the data assets from researchers and scientific end-users
